Old Bangkok was a city of canals, linking neighbourhoods to markets and the main artery of the Chao Phraya River, earning it the title, 'Venice of the East'. Take an early morning transfer to a pier on the Chao Phraya River and board a long-tail boat launch to explore the narrow canals of Thonburi, where stilt houses still line the banks and families can sometimes be seen going through their ablutions in the murky waters. You might also see the monks collecting their daily food rations from the faithful. During the tour you will see the Wat Sai Floating Market and renowned sights such as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace.
