2nd day
Today is your Mt. Rigi experience day. Your 2-days Mt Rigi pass entitles you to unlimited use of the two cogwheel-trains and the aerial cable car of Mt. Rigi Railways. Because of its unique location and its beautiful landscape, the Mt. Rigi enjoys an international reputation as an unforgettable excursion and holiday paradise. In the heart of Switzerland, right in the middle of
an imposing mountain world, surrounded by Lake Lucerne, Zug and Lauerz, the Queen of the Mountains‘ rises to a height of 1,800 m. The sports and holiday region, which covers an area of approximately 90 km2, is car-free and, with its well-constructed network of paths, invites you both in summer and winter to go on walks and mountain excursions. From the various specially marked viewing points, the visitor can enjoy a panoramic view stretching over several kilometres. There are incomparable sunrises to watch, and in autumn particularly, a gigantic sea of mist stretches out. In winter, a rich variety of ski slopes, sleighing tracks, panorama cross country
skiing, well-maintained winter walking paths, a natural ice rink or horse-drawn carriage tours are on offer. Mt. Rigi continues to be the perfect destination for excursions to feel the real Swiss life.
In the late afternoon you might return to the Swiss border or airport either by cogwheel train via Goldau or via Vitznau or by aerial cable-car via Weggis and further by public transport (bus, boat or train) to the Swiss border or airport. Or you might continue your stay in Switzerland at your
