Day 1: Arrive Christchurch
on arrival in Christchurch, 'The Garden City', you will be welcomed and your Vacation begins.

Day 2: Christchurch -Mt Cook - Queenstown (B)
Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains to Lake Tekapo before continuing on to New Zealand's highest mountain, Mt Cook. Depart Mt Cook and follow the shores of Lake Pukaki south through the historic Central Otago region to the 'Alpine Resort' of Queenstown.

Day 3: Milford Sound (B)
Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Ellington Valley and travel through the breath taking man-made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Return to Queenstown.

Day 4: Queenstown (B)
An opportunity today to explore the endless optional attractions available. Queenstown offers bungee jumping, jet boating, white water rafting, gondola rides and much more. Optional activities not included in the tour price.

Day 5: Queenstown - Glacier Region (B)
Depart Queenstown this morning and travel along the shores of Lakes Wanaka and Hawea to the Haste Pass. Continue up the West Coast past spectacular mountain ranges and native forests to the glacier region of Franz Josef & Fox Glaciers.

Day 6: Glacier Region - Christchurch (B)
Travel north to Greymouth today and board the world famous Tranz Alpine train (coach passengers only). Ascend through lush beech forests past the alpine village of Arthur's Pass before crossing the spectacular Southern Alps into Christchurch.

Day 2: Christchurch - Dunedin (B)
Travel south across the Canterbury Plains through the towns of Timaru and Oamaru to reach Moeraki, famous for the fascinating naturally formed Moeraki Boulders. Continue south to reach the Scottish influenced city of Dunedin.  

Day 3: Dunedin - Queenstown (B)
This morning is free for optional activities. Optional activities are not included in the tour price. Depart Dunedin and cross New Zealand's Blue Mountains to Raes Junction. Then follow the Clutha River into Queenstown.

Day 4: Milford Sound (B)

Day 1: Arrive Auckland  on arrival into Auckland, "The City of Sails" you will be met by our local representative for either a private transfer to your hotel or collection of rental car. 

Day 2: Auckland - Coromandel (B)
Depart Auckland and travel the scenic route south to the coromandel Peninsula. Visit the historic township of thames, famous for its gold mining in the 1900's, then continue over the spectacular, semi-tropical bush clad mountains to pauanui.

Day 3: Coromandel (B)
visit the world famous Hot Water Beach where the hot water bubbles out of the sand so hot it can burn your feet! Then take a gentle farmland walk to visit the beautiful Cathedral Cove for a walk or a swim (optional boat transfer into cathedral cove can be arranged at own expense). After lunch (at own Expense) take a tour of the whitianga Harbor by glass-bottomed boat before returning to your accommodation for the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day4: Coromandel - Rotorua (B,D)
today you travel the scenic rout through the Karangahake Gorge, a spectacular area with large cliffs covered in the world's largest tree ferns and native forest. Continue on to Rotorua, the 'Thermal Resort'. Where this evening, you will enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert.

Day 5: Rotorua (B)
Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Following this visit Paradise Valley Springs to see New Zealand's trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agro dome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industry. The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 6: Rotorua - Waitomo - Auckland (BD)
