Day 1: Arrive Auckland

on arrival into Auckland, your Vacation begins with a transfer to your hotel.   

Day 2: Auckland Sightseeing (B)
Morning tour including Victoria Park Market, West haven Marina and Mt Eden for spectacular views of the city and harbor.   

Boat Waitoma Rotorua, New ZealandDay 3: Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua (BD)  
Travel south through the fertile Waikato region to arrive at Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm caves including an underground boat ride viewing millions of glowworms on the cavern roof. On completion continue over the forested Mamaku Ranges to reach the "Thermal City" of Rotorua.

Day 4: Rotorua (B)

Visit Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Following this see bird life, trout and other wildlife before viewing a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to New Zealand Farming. The afternoon is at leisure. This evening enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and concert.

Day 5: Rotorua - Christchurch (B)  

Transfer to Rotorua Airport today for your flight to the 'Garden City' of Christchurch where on arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Flight from Rotorua to Christchurch NOT included. 

Scottish Christchurch, New ZealandDay 6: Christchurch - Dunedin (B)  

Travel south across the Canterbury Plains through the towns of Timaru Oamaru. Continue south to reach the Scottish Influenced city of Dunedin, renowned for it's natural history and Otego University.

Day 7: Dunedin  

Today enjoy a scenic cruise including an interesting commentary out through Otago Harbor to Weller’s Rock. Here you will have the opportunity to feed wading birds, shags, terns and gulls. 

Day 8: Dunedin - Queenstown (B)  
This morning is free for optional activities. Optional activities are not included in the tour price. Depart Dunedin and cross New Zealand's Blue Mountains to Raes Junction. Then follow the Clutha River into Queenstown. 

Day 9: Milford Sound (B)  

Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Ellington Valley and travel through the breath taking man-made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Miter Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Return to Queenstown. 

Church Christchurch, New ZealandDay 10: Queenstown - Mt Cook - Christchurch (B)

Travel through the Central Otego region to Mt Cook, or as known in Maori "Aorangi", the cloud pierce. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo before traveling across the Canterbury Plains to arrive in Christchurch.   

Day 11: Departure Day (B)

Following this visit Paradise Valley Springs to see New Zealand's trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agro dome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industry. The afternoon is at leisure. This evening enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and concert.

Day 4: Rotorua - Wellington (B)
Travel south to reach the popular lake resort of Taupo and along the shores of Lake Taupo to Turangi, before continuing on the Desert Road, dominated in the background by the three peaks of Ruapehu, Ngarahoe and Tongariro. Continue south through lush farmland before arriving in the 'Capital City' of Wellington.

Day 5:Wellington - Picton - Kaikoura (B) Journey across Cook Strait, which separates the North and South Islands of New Zealand, and into the Marlborough Sounds with its sparking clear water and lush forests before arriving in Picton. Travel south through the town of Blenheim, before reaching Kaikoura, a town steeped in Maori history and legend.

Garden Christchurch, New ZealandDay 6: Kaikoura - Christchurch (B)
Leave Kaikoura behind as you turn inland and travel through North Canterbury to reach the 'Garden City' of Christchurch.

Day 7: Christchurch - Mt Cook (B) 
Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains before arriving at Lake Tekapo. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd' before continuing onto Mt Cook National Park]

Day 8: Mt Cook - Queenstown (B)
Follow the shores of Lake Pukaki south to the small town of Twizel before continuing through the historic Central Otego region to Lake Wakatipu and the "Alpine Resort" of Queenstown.

Day 9: Queenstown (B)
An opportunity today to explore the endless optional attractions available. Queenstown offers bungee jumping, jet boating, white water rafting, gondola rides and much more. Optional activities not included in the tour price.

Milford Sound Te Anau Queenstown, New ZealandDay 10: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Te Anau (B) 
Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglington Valley and travel through the breath taking man-made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Miter Peak and Bowen Falls. Return to Te Anau.

Day 11: Te Anau - Dunedin (B)
Cross the fertile Southland Plains through Gore and Balclutha to South Otego.Then travel north to the 'Edinburgh of the South', Dunedin. The afternoon is free for optional activities.

Day 12: Dunedin - Christchurch (B)
Travel north through lush farmland and a series of small farming communities to Christchurch.

Day 13 - Departure Day (B)
Your arrangements conclude today with a departure transfer or the return of your rental car.
