Day 01 : Arrival to Beijing
Upon arrival to Beijing, our guide will meet you at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of day is free leisure, suggest you can walking along the Wangfujing Street at night to enjoy the flourishing, liveliness of Peking night lives.
Day 02 : Beijing
After breakfast, it will be time to visit the Badaling Great Wall. The Badaling Great Wall stretches over 6000 kilometers across China and is one of the few landmarks on earth that can be seen from the moon. The wall symbolizes China’s ancient civilization and construction of the wall began between 476 - 221 BC. Initially, there were different walls built by different kingdoms at strategic points in order to protect them from the northern territories, but in 221 BC, the first Emperor of the Qin Dynasty decided to have the walls linked up and extended into one great wall. According to a Chinese saying; “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man.”
In the afternoon, you will visit the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way. This burial ground for the Ming Dynasty emperors was carefully chosen according to traditional Fengshui Rules. The Sacred Way marks the entrance to this site and large stone statues are guarding the way to the tombs. After this, we can visit the famous Olympic Park under way to back to the city; (B/L/D)
Day 03 : Beijing
After departure from the hotel, you will visit Tian’anmen Square. As the biggest square in the world, Tian’anmen Square has the capacity to hold half a million people. The Tian’anmen (Gate of Heavenly Peace) is located opposite the square and is the main entrance to the Forbidden City. The gate was built in 1417 and renovated in 1981. Tian’anmen is one of the most famous icons of China.
Later on, you will visit the Forbidden City, also known as The Imperial Palace. It is the largest and best preserved imperial residence in Chinese history and one of the most popular tourist sites. Construction of the Forbidden City began in 1406, under the Ming Emperor Yongle, it took 14 years to complete. The Forbidden City covers an area of 150,000 square meters and contains no less than 9,900 rooms.
Afternoon, you will visit the Summer Palace. The palace was initially constructed in the Jin Dynasty 1115-1234, but has been reconstructed many times since then. In 1888, the Empress Dowager Cixi reconstructed it for her own benefit and spent most of her later years there. The Summer Palace has many great lakes and gardens and is beautifully surrounded by the nearby hills. Later, have a trip to the zoo- Panda World, to see the frolicking Pandas, a living Chinese treasure. (B/L/D)
Day 04 : Beijing – Shanghai
Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport, transfer to experience the Maglev Train, afternoon, tout to Pudong New economic district, enjoy a bird’s eye view of Shanghai from Oriental Pearl Tower, afternoon, tour to Bund, which located on waterfront, it is impressive, early 20th century architecture and is the heart of Shanghai sightseeing. At evening have dinner at Huangpu river, view river prospect of modest city in China; (B/L/D)
Day 05 : Shanghai - Hangzhou - Shanghai
After breakfast in hotel, transfer to Hangzhou by car, upon arrival, tour to West Lake, Ling Yin Temple and Liu He Tower, enjoy the beautiful scenery around it, after lunch, return to Shanghai by car, then after dinner, rest in hotel; (B/L/D)
Day 06 : Shanghai
After breakfast in hotel, tour to Nanjing Road, XIn Tian Di shopping mall; (B)
Day 07 : Shanghai
After breakfast in hotel, rest of the day at leisure; (B)
Day 08 : Shanghai
After breakfast in hotel, transfer to airport, end of this happy journey. (B) |
