Schonbrunn Palace is one of the most important cultural monuments in Austria. You will be passing through 40 magnificent rooms. This tour begins in the west wing of the Palace and takes you through the apartments of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth, through the central wing with the ceremonial and state rooms and into the east wing. Here you will see the splendid audience chamber of Maria Theresa and Emperor Franz Stephan, as well as many other fascinating interiors. Schonbrunn Palace was not only an Imperial residence and the setting for countless festivities, but also a place where famous artists and craftsmen from many different epochs created interiors of great beauty. All the rooms of the Palace have their own stories to tell, these are on the margins of great historical events which are indicative of the lifestyle, atmosphere and world view of the Imperial Era. |

The Giant Ferris Wheel - called "Riesenrad" by the Viennese - is the oldest still existing wheel in the whole world. Tour Itinerary
This very professionally performed classical concert takes place in the Orangerie of Schonbrunn Palace. The concert is in two halves with the orchestra playing Mozart in the first half and Strauss in the second. The orchestra comprises 18 musicians with a conductor, 2 opera singers and a pair of ballet dancers. The Orangerie Schonbrunn opens out onto part of Schonbrunn Palace's gardens, where clients can walk during the interval as well as before and after the performance. |
