Day 01: Kovalam (Arrival)
Arrive Trivandrum. Meet & assisted, transfer to Kovalam. Kovalam Here the boundless blue of the Arabian Sea and the unwinding miles of fine white sanded beaches are washed by the surf which roars and hisses at the Coconut Palms. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse - sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programme, Catamaran cruising etc. The tropical sun acts so fast that one can see the faint blush of coppery tan on the skin in a matter of minutes. Life on the beach begins late in the day and it carries on well into the night. |
Day 02: Kovalam
Breakfast, Sightseeing of Trivandrum. Thiruvananthapuram, earlier known as Trivandrum, is the capital city of Kerala. The name literally splits into "Tiru","Anantha""puram" meaning "the town of Lord ANANTHA". This is really true since the temple is at the heart of the town and for generations, the kings have called themselves "Padmanabha-Dasa" or the "servants of LORD Ananthapadmanabha", and ruled the state as the representatives of LORD Anantha-Padmanabha., Visit Sri Padmanabha swami temple , Napier Museum , Kuthiramalika Palace. Day 03: Kovalam – Alleppey (Houseboat)
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey to board the house boat at 12 noon. Kettuvallom or Houseboats (Rice boats) are country boats that were used in the early days for the transport of goods from the isolated interior villages to the towns. A ride on a Kettuvallom is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters which give a glimpse of paddy fields, toddy tapping. Also you can indulge in fishing.
A house boat is about 67 feet in length and has a width of around 13 feet in the middle. The materials that go into the making are all local and Eco friendly bamboo poles, coconut fiber ropes, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc. The house boats have fully furnished single and double rooms with sundeck, comfortable chairs, kitchen and toilet with A/C. In addition there is also separate rest room for the crew. Traditional lanterns are used as lights. The crew includes a chef and two oarsmen. The houseboat takes you through the scenic backwaters of Kerala. The Traditional Kerala cuisine will be served on the board. Over Night on board. |
Day 04: Alleppey - Marari
Breakfast is served on board. After Breakfast, drive to Marari. The village of Mararikulam is tucked away behind a line of dense palms that rise like a sudden rampart of green out of the sands. Like all villages, it has evolved naturally, in picturesque disorder. The huts are slapdash adobe, thatched with-what else? -palm and tied with coir, or coconut rope. (In fact, the coconut tree supplies the villagers with an endless number of useful items, from kitchen ladles to sunhats to boat hulls.) Neat and scrupulously clean footpaths veer between the huts and everywhere, the pungent scents of the sea mingle with the fragrance of coconut oil and spice. Over night |

After Breakfast, Drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom, A nice Backwater Village hidden among the palm trees on the eastern shore of Lake Vembanad, at the mouth of the Kavanar River, Nature itself has set on an abandoned coconut plantation in the very heart of these fascinating backwaters and has been designed to give visitors an authentic insight into Kutanad life. Most of the places can only be reached by boat. Rest of the day at Leisure. Over Night. |

Day 08: Kumarakom - Munnar
After Breakfast drive to Munnar. On arrival check in at Hotel. Munnar, Paradise of nature lovers, Munnar was the summer resort of the British government in South India. Surrounded by the Annamalai Hills, this hill station offers spectacular views of the craggy peaks, manicured tea estates, picturesque towns and winding lanes. Munnar in the wee hours of the morning is a dream, covered in mist. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands is the flower Neelakurinji, which bathes the hills in blue once every twelve years. It will bloom next in 2006 AD. Tiger, sambhar, bison, spotted deer, leopard, and Malabar flying squirrel, stripe-necked Mongoose etc. can also be spotted in the forest. Overnight . |
Day 09: Munnar
Breakfast, Sightseeing of Munnar. Rajamala, the natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr, a rare mountain goat and the Eravikulam National Park. Overnight. |

Day 01: Cochin (Arrival)
Arrive Cochin meet and assisted, transferred to Hotel Casino. Cochin is one of the most interesting towns in South India. A trading port since Roman times, it was on the main trade route between Europe and China. Fort Cochin occupies the South promontory on the seaward side of the Bay. Day 02: Cochin
Breakfast. Sightseeing of Cochin. Fort Kochi: A European township In India, Kochi has an eventful and colorful history. The town was shaped by the cultural influences of the Dutch and later the British. The results of these cultural influences are seen in the many examples of Indo-European architecture that still exist here.Chinese fishing nets: These huge cantilevered fishing nets are the legacy of one of the first visitors to the Malabar Coast. Erected here between 1350 and 1450 AD by Traders from the court of Kublai Khan, these nets are set up on teak wood and bamboo poles. The best place to watch the nets being lowered into the sea and the catch being brought in is the Vasco da Gama square, a narrow promenade that runs along the beach. St. Francis Church: Built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan Friars, this is India's oldest European Church. This was initially built of timber and later reconstructed in stone. It was restored in 1779 by the Protestant Dutch and converted to an Anglican church by the British in 1795. Vasco da Gama was buried here in 1524 before his remains were moved to Lisbon, Portugal. Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace): Built by the Portuguese in 1557 and presented to Raja Veera Kerala Varma of Kochi, the palace was renovated in 1663 by the Dutch. On display here are beautiful murals depicting scenes from the epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata, and some of the Puranic Hindu legends. The palace also houses Dutch maps of old Kochi, royal palanquins and the coronation robes of former maharajas of Kochi. Synagogue: Constructed in 1568, this is the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth. Destroyed in a shelling during the Portuguese raid in 1662, it was rebuilt two years later by the Dutch. Over Night

Breakfast, Leave for Periyar. On arrival at Periyar, check in to the resort. One of the hill stations produces large quantity of spices, like pepper, cardamom etc. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary – one of the well maintained wild life sanctuaries of South India. Situated on the banks of an artificial lake formed with the construction of an irrigation dam the sanctuary is spread out over an area of 777 sq kms. Now declared as a tiger reserve, this sanctuary is the best place to see the wild elephants, bison’s, wild dogs, deer’s, water birds and occasionally tiger. After Noon Visit of Spice plantations. Watch the trading at one of the spice shop. Over night. |
Day 07: Periyar
Early Morning Boating in Lake Periyar to watch the wild animals. After Break fast, Proceed to Short trek at Periyar forest. Option for Elephant Ride at an extra cost. Over night |
